The morning started early with Kiefer waking first and coming to get mummy. We then went downstairs and after some play I asked Kiefer “Are you hungry?” initiating a script we often use to engage his attention. I provided two responses “Yes I am!” or “No I’m not!”. Kiefer answered with “Yes I am!” I followed with “What for you want for your breakfast?” and Kiefer replied “Toast and butter and jam!” This was one of the first full fluent conversation I have had with Kiefer where I hadn’t had to regain his attention at each phase, he also kept eye contact with me throughout.
After breakfast Kiefer was thirsty and went into the kitchen choose himself a glass and poured himself some water from the jug using great hand and eye coordination.
