Kiefer started the day (after breakfast) by asking me for the ‘TV doofer’ – we had nowhere to be as it is still school holidays, so I recognised his positive attitude towards it and so decided to draw one of his favourite characters from B.O.T. and the Beasties.
I did this drawing:
Kiefer was not impressed with my drawing and wiped it. He quickly took to drawing his own version, which is obviously way better:
Glowy Spotter is a very creative little guy from B.O.T. and the Beasties on BBC iPlayer.
He creates spotty art on the ground with his antenae.
Kiefer then began searching for more creative influence.
He found his sensory ASMR videos, which involve colours, textures, shapes, music, sound fx.
All this has a very positive calming effect on Kiefer and inspires him to be creative and explore new things and language.
Kiefer went for a walk to the shop with his mummy and daddy. We gave him a choice of where to get his luncheon. He opted for a sausage roll and cheesy pizza from Wild’s Bakery.
Later today, Kiefer had a comforting bath and he poured water over his own head to rinse the shampoo off.
After his bath we presented his England football strip and socks and requested he gets himself dressed. He got everything on without a mistake and seemed pleased with himself.
To top off another cracking day, we took Kiefer for a 4 mile walk up to the football field for a quick kickabout and then looped back home.
It took almost two hours and we climbed 106m!
On the way home, it went dark on us again, but we’d earned a good night’s rest.
Kiefer loved the free play again, but we noticed he really wanted to play with us lots more and with the ball as opposed to running off!
