Creative play for Kiefer, with lots of language building first thing this Monday morning!
After breakfast Kiefer got cracking with some quiet time clay modelling fruits so I asked him all about the fruits, he expressed each of the fruit names. So I decided to write each one down, some I don’t even know myself!
Kiefer quickly understood the pattern of play and started retrieving the correct colour for labelling! Clever lad!
I believe Kiefer has learnt these fruits through learning videos on YouTube, and described them as Happy Fruits and he also gave the title Happy Sunshine Friends!
Kiefer was then brave enough to try some sliced apple and said “tasty”.
He was unsure of the texture and amount of chewing required as he hadn’t tried apple for some time but……
He finished a few slices and then sang made up songs about apples.
After washing his sticky hands he said “I tried something beginning with the letter A…….APPLE!!!”
I was intending to display Kiefer’s Happy Sunshine Friends paper up on our mantlepiece but when I went to do it I had found Kiefer had already done it! Wow Kiefer!
Right next to the Jammers Song! Great!
Kiefer’s morning ended with playing ‘sticks and rings’.
Kiefer started to make faces.
Then all the yellow rings went on his fingers!
But then…….
…………..3 got stuck
We managed to get 2 of them off with Fairy Liquid…..but the last one was stuck.
Kiefer had to hold still whilst Daddy cut this one off!
And back to the Sticks and Rings he went.
