Today Kiefer had a big new experience at Boulsworth RDA, and he rose to the challenge in a way that made me incredibly proud.
Today Kiefer had the chance to try a taster session at Boulsworth RDA, and it turned into something really special. From the moment we arrived, Amelia communicated so clearly with him that Kiefer seemed at ease, as if he had been around horses forever.
We had expected that just getting close to the horses might be enough, but Kiefer had other ideas.
Instead of stopping at grooming, he showed immediate interest in Rhys, the white pony, and really wanted to mount. Against all expectations, he climbed on without any problem, sitting tall and calm like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Amelia was fantastic with him throughout. She found just the right way to speak so that Kiefer understood what was happening and what he needed to do, and he responded beautifully. It was lovely to watch him warm to her so quickly, listening, communicating, and taking everything in.
What was meant to be a simple introduction turned into a real breakthrough for Kiefer. Seeing him connect with Rhys and with Amelia, and watching him take such a confident step into something completely new, is a moment I’ll remember for a long time.
