Well, Kiefer’s first full term proper term away from school is over an what an action packed few months it has been.
Kiefer is taking the new routine in his stride even when things didn’t go exactly to plan!
Some of the things Kiefer has been doing regularly are:
- Walking/Hiking
- Running/Free Play
- Cooking Inside and Out
- Visiting the swimming baths
- Baking
- Messy Play
- Visiting/Attending Church
- Visiting lots of different libraries!
- Reading Books – especially bedtime story to his siblings
- Reading Eggs app
- Scratch app
- Learning how to control more complex control surfaces
- Starting to learn computer basics
- Working on his Positional Language
- Addition and pencil use.
- Climbing
- Football
- Rough and Tumble/Deep Pressure Sensory play
- Playing Keyboard/Drums/Piano
- Listening to music
- Painting 3D objects
- Trampolining
- Using torches and projector torches
- Independence Skills
- Clay modelling – now taking requests!
- …………………………………………………………….many many more!
Kiefer is moving in the right direction without a doubt, with people who don’t see him daily noticing improvements in his speech especially.
He continues to have the same complex needs which we support to aid his development. He is sure of what activities he likes to do he does get more encouragement and pleasure when he tries new things and figures them out for the first time.
